Capability

Fabrication & installation

Structural and heavy fabrication from our Brisbane workshop, installed across South East Queensland and Northern NSW by the crew that built it.

What we fabricate

Structural steel

Beams, columns, portal frames and connections, built to your engineer’s drawings.

Shade structures & canopies

Schools, clubs and commercial. Fabricated in Brisbane, installed by the same crew.

Stairs & balustrade

Stringers, treads, compliant handrail and balustrade for commercial and residential.

Platforms & access

Walkways, mezzanines and access platforms where people have to work safely at height.

Lift shafts & plant steel

Service structures and support steel that has to land exactly where the engineer says.

Heavy machinery repairs

Buckets, frames and wear plate for earthmoving and mining plant, in the shed or on site.

Seaport & defence

Fabrication and site welding under strict compliance and security requirements. MSIC held.

Architectural steelwork

Gates, screens and feature elements where the finish matters as much as the weld.

Processes

What we run

MIG, TIG and stick (MMAW) across mild steel, stainless and aluminium. Oxy/acetylene cutting and gouging. Measuring, marking, cutting, welding, grinding and finishing, all in-house.

Scope

We build to your drawings

TMF fabricates and installs to engineered drawings supplied by you or your engineer. We don’t do the structural design — which means the scope is clean, the responsibility sits where it belongs, and there is no ambiguity about who certified what.

If a drawing doesn’t carry the detail to fabricate something properly, we flag it at quote stage rather than assuming and pricing the risk into your job.

The process

From the drawing to the steel

The drawing The steel

Every job starts as lines on a page. Drag the slider to see where it ends up.

The drawing is set out over the finished structure at Sunnybank State School, so the two line up. Sections are indicative — every job is built to the engineer’s drawings.

Lead time

Turnaround is the point

The single thing clients name when they come back: we hit the date. On programs where a larger shop quotes months, we quote weeks — and then we deliver them.

The honest version

Lead time depends entirely on the job. Tell us the date you need it on site and we'll tell you straight whether we can hit it — before you commit, not after.

Why we're quicker

A workshop set up for structural work and a crew that runs it directly. No layers of approval between your call and steel getting cut — and no queue behind three larger contracts.

When it's tight

Programmes move. When yours does, we resource up and move with it — that flexibility is why builders keep our number in their phone rather than their filing cabinet.

Start to finish

How a job runs

The same seven steps every time. Tap through them — it is why programs hold and why builders come back.

Drawings & quote

We work from your engineer’s drawings, flag anything undetailed before we price it, and come back with the scope written out line by line — what’s in, what’s out, and a total.

Cut & prep

Measured, marked and cut to the shop detail in our Brisbane workshop. Edges prepped and ready to weld.

Fabrication

Fabricated and welded to AS/NZS 1554.1 by our own crew. Progress photos as we go if you want them.

Before it leaves

Inspection

Every piece checked against the drawings on the floor. Weld testing carried out where the job calls for it.

Handover

Weld certificates, as-builts and compliance documents delivered without being chased. Your QA file closes on time.

Typical

Weeks, not months

Lead time depends on the job — tell us the date you need it and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Throughout

One line of communication

Estimating prices it, Tom runs it, and both sit in-house. No messages relayed through an account manager who was never on site.

Always

Nothing assumed

If a drawing doesn’t carry the detail, we raise it at step one instead of at variation stage.
